Abstract

Oceanographic factors are very important for the utilization and management of fish resources, especially in the fishing business. Each type of fish has a different ability to adapt to oceanographic conditions for its survival as well as the life of tuna fish requires appropriate environmental conditions parameters. This study aims to determine the relationship between oceanographic parameters and fishing effort on the tug line fishing fleet in the Kokar waters, Alor Regency. Oceanographic parameter data measured were Temperature, Current Speed, Chlorophyll-a, Salinity and Wind Speed. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the catch rate (CPUE), data analysis was also carried out descriptively and statistically to explain the relationship between factors using multiple linear regression. The highest catch occurred in June, which was 8112 kg with the highest CPUE value of 338.0. The results of the F test showed that the oceanographic factor had a significant effect on the catch of tuna with an Fcount value of 28.262 and a significant value of 0.000, while the t test showed that there were four oceanographic factors that had a significant effect on the catch, namely Temperature with a significant value of 0.000, Salinity with a value of significant 0.001, Chlorophyll-a with a significant value of 0.036 and Wind Speed with a significant value of 0.000, while Flow Velocity has no significant effect on the catch.
